“does it work with x-box 360 already bought it from best buy and told me it will work in egypt.as soon as i plugged it in a sound like explosion was heard so i took it off quickly.i don't know if this damaged my x-box and don't know if it's a defect in this adapter/converter”

While this adapter should work in Egypt without issue, it is intended for use with small appliances, not advanced electronics like an XBox.
