they'll connect any sata device to a motherboard, the speeds on them are listed as 2.0 3.0 etc
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a sata 3 cable out, but I have not seen any speed increase just from the cable. It should connect the DVD drive as long as the DVD is a sata model. Sata 2.0 is plenty fast enough for a dvd drive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is a standard high speed drive cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i used the cable to connect an internal dvd drive to a motherboard. not sure if there are different grades of cables for faster transfer speeds, but this one works great for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your DVD drive is most likely SATA I or II, this cable works for both. The speed is determined by the SATA port on the device (in this case, the DVD player) and on the motherboard. Some newer motherboards have SATA III, and you would want to make sure you have a SATA III device to plug in (like a hard disk drive) to take advantage of the speed increase.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, this cable is designed to connect internal components to your motherboard. The speed is controlled more by the motherboard and device then by the cable.
