Is there a way? Sure ... but it's going to cost you some money unfortunately. It does not come with a native ethernet port but you can connect it to a router that will allow you to share external drives as a networked resource. Apple's Airport Extreme is such a router and the newest version is phenomenal. The range is stupendous and is really easy to set up even if you don't have a Mac. There are other routers out there with this capability of course. I used to have a Linksys that allowed usb drives to be shared. I'm sorry I don't know of another router off hand besides the Apple router.
