“Drivers Are there any drivers that I need in order for the my hub to work. It's getting power from the laptop but if I connect my thumb drive to or an external drive, it does not recognize the device.”

It's plug and play. Your computer will recognize it immediately.

Or the opposite (which is what I do - I leave my external devices connected, then connect the hub to the laptop). One other idea, try a different USB port on the computer - perhaps there's an issue with a USB3 port.
