“Need a longer ethernet cable I currently have a 5' Ethernet cable between my wifi router and my DSL modem. I need a longer cable and not sure 6' would be what I need, but I definitely DON'T need a 25' cable either. Does this cable come in any longer lengths than 6'? Or is it possible to connect a couple of shorter cables together, like a 3' and a 5', and if so, what kind of connector would I need?”

• You could use a WiFi extender with another Ethernet cord, or move your device closer.

• 6', 7', 10', 12', 15' are all standard lengths between your 5' and 25' in the industry. If your Best Buy does not have them locally, and they are not being offered online, then you can put two shorter ones together with an inline coupler like the ones below.

• LAN cable can be an inch or 300 feet and the signal will be same. I'd be more worried about the couplers than a single "longer" LAN cable.
