• Most DVD players accept this type of chord. Yellow being for the video and the others for the audio. If your player has HDMI and your TV supports HDMI as well I would go that route. Most devices are switching over to HDMI just like most people are switching over from DVD players to Blu Ray. Technology upgrading at its finest.

• Yes, but you'll still need an adapter to connect to the payer itself. The adapter would need to have a single plug on one end and the red/white/yellow connections on the other end.
