“Why is there an extra plastic prong on the back of the unit? There is an extra plastic prong above the other prongs making it impossible to plug this unit into the wall outlet. Is it just for packaging and needs to be removed before use?”

• The extra plastic prong is (1) to insure that the unit is inserted into the wall plug with the proper orientation and (2) to provide stability. However, it can be removed with a hack saw or some other cutting tool without compromising the functionality of the unit.
