A: According to the manual, the "ground" light should be on. The manual doesn't explain the "surge" light, but it is on with mine.
Q: How far do the outlet sections swivel?
A: They turn all the way to the side. Thats why I got it.....and it worked perfectly for me. Good Luck!!!
Q: Should the extra plastic prong be removed or doesn't matter?
A: I would not recommend altering the product in any way.
Q: What is the clamping voltage?
A: The Clamping voltage is 400 volts.
Q: Why is there an extra plastic prong on the back of the unit?
A: The extra plastic prong is (1) to insure that the unit is inserted into the wall plug with the proper orientation and (2) to provide stability. However, it can be removed with a hack saw or some other cutting tool without compromising the functionality of the unit.
