I'm currently living in Germany & I'm using this adaptor/converter to charge both my MacBook Air and my iPhone. It fits a 3 prong US plug as well as your standard ones. It's safe for other products too, because I also use it for my hair straightener and for my little portable battery.

The converter is designed to be used only for short periods of time (approximately 10 minutes) with Higher wattage equipment like Hair dryers, Curlers, Etc.
