A:Answer You'll need a drill to drill the pilot holes for the lag bolts that mount the assembly to the dimensional lumber framing behind the drywall. Drywall anchors are insufficient to hold the weight of the TV. If you attempt to torque the lag bolts into the studs without the right size pilot hole, the head of the lag bolt will sheer off. The assembly comes with a wide variety of mounting screws for the flat screen TV, and it works flawlessly on my Toshiba 50" 50L711U18. It's easy to install.
