• no battery, one is, it might have lost the driver. try restarting the computer then plugging it into a different port for USB. If that doesn't work, it might just be dead. Dynex and Insignia are BBY brands and sometimes they last forever and sometimes they last a week.

• no battery, if USB port is OK you have a dead mouse.

• It sounds like the mouse is not longer working. I suggest trying to determine if it is still within the one year manufacturer's warranty.

• Thank you for your question regarding the Dynex-USB Optical Mouse. This model mouse does come with batteries and they are interchangeable.
