Q: QuestionWindows 7 compatibilityI purchasd this adapter today from Best Buy, even though the package only stated compatibility with Windows ME, 2000, & XP (I have a Windows 7 OS on my HP desktop, and used the adapter to connect an older 6-pin HP keyboard with the USB input of my present machine), as the BB salesguy said it should work with 7. It appears to be fine, except for the keyboard volume controls, which don't appear to work. Is this a result of having W7, or is the adapter defective? If the former, is there a newer model adapter available which specifies W7 compatibility? Thanks for your help.

• A:Answer You issue here is that your basic driver set that is park of the Win7 is missing few compatibility features. What you need to do is find the manufacturer drives for your OS and install them. You will see that everything will work then. Look on HP support site the available downloads for that particular HP keyboard.

Q: Questionsupport for use on KVM type products?purchased one for use on existing dual (KVM style) switcher. using to connect one monitor, ps/2 keyboard and ps/2 mouse to two desktops. one desktop with ps/2 ports and windows 2000, the other newer Dell no ps/2 ports (adapter used here) and windows7. Windows7 machine with adapter only activates ps/2 mouse --- ps/2 keyboard does not work. If separate ps/2 keyboard is attached to adapter --- separate ps/2 keyboard functions, but now ps/2 mouse (from KVM) does not. any suggestions????

• A:Answer Check the ports and interrupts they are taking. It sounds like they are conflicting that way. You can also try moVing your switch to another USB. I have run into that often too. So much that I avoid'd useing any extra switching methods!
