“Bagless upright vs bagless canister What are the differences between the days on Bagless upright and Bagless canister? Thank you. Additionally, Do they both have the same smooth cord ( I know this sounds crazy however I cannot touch cords that have ridges in them, they give me the shivers, and I know from the vacuum I use at work on occasion, the upright, the cord is smooth). I need a new vacuum, and unless I go into the store, I cannot see the cords.”

I think canister, you drag the vacuum. Upright you carry the vacuum. I have a canisters it is pretty smooth cord.

The biggest difference between the upright and canister vacuum would be how the weight is distributed during use, and more importantly the power floor tool.
