Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Big Ball Canister comes with a washable filter. The filter is washable, and should be cleaned approximately every three months. With proper maintenance, you should not ever have to replace the filter, but we do carry them on the Dyson website. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
