“Can I totally engage the trigger on the handle without constant finger pressure to raise the brush roller when vacuuming hardwood floors? Kinda like you do with the trigger on the pump nozzle at the gas station?”

Hi Lee, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for your interest in the Cinetic Big Ball Bagless Canister Vacuum. The trigger on the handle is only meant for you to lessen suction where it is needed.
