Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. You can vacuum a small amount of cat litter with your Dyson, but we do not recommend a large amount; the dust can get trapped within the cyclone, and cause damaged to the machine's inner parts. Best wishes, Kelly Dyson Customer Support
