Yes this vacuum is very good on bare as well as rug
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can turn the spinning rollers off and it’s straight suction. Although I would recommend V8, V10 or V11 for hardwoods. Especially if you can get one with a fluffy roller. The fluffy roller gets everything and buffs the floors.

I vacuumed with my old vacuum and right after with the Dyson, not only did it clean and suck up really good through the whole house but I was amazed how much was in the bin, it was full!!! Scary, because I just vacuumed with my other good name brand vacuum, the Dyson made my carpet fluffy and where I live we have big weeds and foxtails, that one of our two big dogs, the long haired one loves to bring in on his fur, they stick to his fur, sticks, weeds, whatever it comes in, I like a clean house, so I vacuum twice a week. Yep, it cleans all floors... Great purchase!!! Except when I go to use it, my pit bull, she is scared it makes a noise when it releases the balance thingy... She's mean when the door bell rings, but runs and hides from the vacuum, she's a big loveable, lap dog, lol... Really a great vacuum, glad Best Buy had it on sale...
