A:AnswerYes I would try the adapter first on a less expensive item first to make sure .im from ireland and we use 220 volts and I've bought adapters over there for it .make sure it's a tranformer not one off those airport adapters for phones etc or you will blow it up

A:AnswerV12 and v8 absolute come with 2 roller heads, one is for hardwood floors.
You can also buy soft roller head separately at Dyson. It can be attached to almost any other Dyson stick vacuums, just ask them to demonstrate it. They currently have 2 soft roller head options which you can purchase separately.
A:AnswerI've been paying extremely close attention to our newly finished hardwood over the past 6 months and the soft roller cleaner head that comes with the Absolute does not seem to be scratching the floor at all. We tried a Rumba, but it scratched the floor.
A:AnswerI own both machine but, accessories are not interchangeable between these units. Absolute comes with some useful accessories. Once you have the Absolute, you will rarely use your larger Animal
