A:AnswerHi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. While we can't guarantee a lifespan for the battery due to varying factors, I can confirm that we would generally expect the battery to outlast the free 2-year guarantee provided with all new machines purchased from an authorized retailer. While we don't expect problems to occur, the guarantee is in place to help protect against any problems that may ever arise or come up with a new purchase. I'm also happy to share that we do also have many happy cordless Dyson owners who are still enjoying some of our earlier models today. The batteries are replaceable, should you ever need to replace it.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerHello Shannon, this is Kelly with Dyson. Your V8 Animal will have two filters, one that sits inside of your cyclone, and a twist-on post motor filter on the back of the main body. You can have a look at this video here, to see the steps on filter washing for your model: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rh4523gmLvo

A:AnswerHello Eddie, this is Kelly with Dyson.
The Dyson V8 Absolute model comes with 2 cleaner heads, the direct drive cleaner head that is also included with the Animal, as well as the soft-roller head. This soft roller was engineered specifically for use on bare flooring. The soft roller head can be purchased separately on its own to use on your vinyl or plank flooring, should you wish.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerHello Sprite,
This is Miella from Dyson. This machine is not multi-voltage and only fits 110-120v. We do not recommend using outside that voltage or on a converter, as this will cause power/motor issues and is not covered under warranty.
Hope this helps!

A:AnswerI just bought the V8 Animal and it works unbelievable on cat hair. Not sure of the models you noted. I used mine on carpet and bare floor and it worked great there also.
A:Answerfor me the biggest head with the long tube is good enough to clean both the hardwood and carpet, the kitchen floor of our apartment is hardwood, and the living room is carpet, we don't need to switch those heads, just use that long tube one.
A:AnswerHi Lizzie, this is Krystal with Dyson. There is the soft roller cleaner head that can be purchased separately. Keep in mind the direct drive cleaner head that comes with this vacuum is designed for use on both bare floors and carpet.
Best Wishes,
Krystal

A:AnswerYES, I think you are referring to the mini motorized head. Besides the basic vac setup pictured, it also comes with a mini motorized head, two crevice tools (one with sliding brush), a dusting brush that's good for dusting ceiling fan blades, etc., and a wall mount charge station. Hope this answers your question. Dyson does a poor job of demonstrating what is in the box, but I was satisfied with the product.
A:AnswerI got the eight for that exact reason and have been super happy with the results. I have not even needed to clean the inner filter yet (which is extremely easy to get to) and my dogs shed like crazy. I have used it for a month and have nothing but good things to say.
A:AnswerI don’t know exactly how thick it is, it depends how low your sofa is to the ground. It’s definitely very small and compact though. I bought it as a gift for my girlfriend and she loves it. I would say it’s about two or three inches high so you might need someone to lift it up a little so you can vacuum underneath.
