Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Not really. You have to block the areas you don't want it to go (even a dog has to be blocked or trained carefully over time). It does have a "SPOT" setting that begins going around in a circle, widening with each round, so you have to stop if (with the app or remote) if it gets close to a 'restricted' area.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No you can’t. You can put it in one room and shut the door and then let it run till it gets the whole room. This is one of the best lower end vacs. Go this way or get the best. Even the best is not perfect. Not much in-between that you are going to be able to not find something you won’t like. I got the warranty and will bring it back and buy the best if I really get frustrated with it. So far it works pretty darn good. Best Buy is the best.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Now you can all program it like you would a unit with a floor mapping feature. You need to place it in particular areas you'd want it to clean. You can turn it on set it to automatic and use the app for the remote to control it into the area you want it to clean however it's easier to pick it up and put it where you want it to clean. the only way to keep it from cleaning areas you don't want cleaned is to set an obstacle in its path as this unit doesn't come with area voidance strips like the shark ion 750 does.
