It will clean it, but does not have as much suction as most uprights.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.YES and NO. Yes...it works better than a vacuum cleaner because it goes under the bed (assuming the bed is high enough). I used to have a forest of lint under the bed. Now, it looks like a mowed yard. Also, the suction is good enough to pick up lint and small items...but NO...it is not powerful enough to get dirt and sand TRAPPED under the carpet fibers. After 4 days of running the Deebot N79SE, I used my DareDevil Jaguar Pet vacuum, a very strong cleaner. Normally, I had to empty the full of lint/dirt large DareDevil canister 2x. But, this time, I only had less than 1/2 canister of lint and some sand. I'm guessing the lint and sand were trapped too heavy for the Deebot.
