QuestionI have kitchen/living room area with a carpet in the living room. What is the best way to avoid the mopping function on my carpet. Is there a way to separate the area so the ecovacs mops only the kitchen area? Can the ecovacs do only vacuum function?

- Answer Hi, Deebot U2 could vacuum and mop. If you don't want the Deebot mop, you could remove the mopping plate and empty the water tank, then the Deebot will be back the vacuum mode. Please kindly note that Deebot U2 doesn't have the carpet detector and it doesn't have the map function. So it could not avoid the carpet automatically. And it could not edit the map area. - Answer It doesn’t map the home at all. Buy a better one. This thing isn’t capable. It can run around forever miss big areas.

- Answer It says on its website that you should use distilled water, not tap. I use tap. I’m not going to go buy distilled water for it.

QuestionIt’s working well in USA. I took it to India and it was working well when I press the button to start and stop. But when I tried to connect to internet in India it says it could not connect? Is there a configuration change to make in India internet?

- Answer Hi, Regarding the work completion time, it depends on the home environment. Some home environment backgrounds are too complicated, or some target objects have special shapes, which may also cause the Deebot to take a long time to react, lead touches, and complete mapping. And if your Deebot supports the networking function, but there is no Wi-Fi at home, you could directly press the Auto Mode Button on the machine to start the machine. If you need to use some of the functions after networking, such as setting a scheduled appointment, you could connect to the machine through the mobile hotspot, and if you need to modify the appointment time next time, you could connect to the hotspot again.
