Wifi 6 is a newer standard that uses the same radio bands as wifi 5 but is capable of higher speeds. Some older wireless devices are not capable of using wifi 6. For the eero, the wifi 6 ones do have the capability to disable wifi 6 and use the older wifi 5 for these older devices. Other differences is the amount of memory and CPU in the eero themselves.
