Not sure about Cox. I have xfinity. Yes you do need to connect to a modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would assume it works with Cox as I do not think it matters who your provider is. Yes, you need to connect it directly to your modem. You connect one to your modem with the cord provided, then place the other two around your house for the extended mesh network.
