“I am currently on Verizon Fios using their G3100 modem/router. I want to cover some blindspots in the house and thinking of purchasing this and return Verizon's. Do i need a new modem to connect the mesh or this product is stand alone? Thanks.”

• Pretty much stand alone. Just plug in in varioius rooms. If one story home then in rooms with computers or nearby. If two story home then one outside room with computer and two upstaris in variouis rooms. Plug in and automatic coverage

• I changed my modem from spectrum and it has worked really well with the eero.
