In fact, it is significantly overbuilt for a 1 Gbps connection.The system is designed for much faster multi-gigabit internet (like 2–5 Gbps plans), so your 1 Gbps connection will work perfectly without any reduction in speed. Many users with gigabit plans choose it for future-proofing, excellent mesh coverage, and handling lots of devices.If you're using a wired connection from modem to eero (and possibly wired backhaul between nodes), you'll get the most consistent full-gigabit performance.
