• Thanks for reaching out. The switch on the lamp holder controls all 3 lights, each click turns on until all are on. First Turn: Both reading lights will turn on. Second Turn: Main Light Only. Third Turn: All 3 lights on. Fourth Turn: All lights off. We do not recommend using a 3 way bulb with this lamp.

• Yes, one switch turns on all three bulbs. The first turn lights up the bottom 2 adjustable reading lights "as I call them". Turn again and it turns the bottom two off and turns on the top light, lighting up the ceiling. A third turn activates all three lights on the lamp. Finally, turning it a fourth time turns all 3 lights off.
