No, the product does not record your voice but has a built in commentary feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does not record voice right out of the box. In order to record voice, you would need the Elgato mic splitter that they sell separately to add your game voice/party chat voices. Any google search can find you the mic splitter needed from Elgato.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The device has an audio 3.5mm port on the device that takes in a microphone input. then in the program you enable the live commentary section (circled in blue on the attached screenshot) by connecting your device to your computer via USB, and make sure the little sound icon on the lower left corner of the live commentary section is not muted as well as make sure the blue microphone button at the bottom of the window (circled in red in the screenshot attached) is lit up on the program, and set your device selection to your microphone device. if you don't have a 3.5mm microphone then you can set it to any recording device you have connected. just click the drop down menu, select your device and make sure the the live commentary is enabled and the device is all connected. the settings left is all extra.. tune them if needed. hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can capture your voice independently with an additional cable but if your voice is going into the game that would normally be broadcast over your speakers it will capture it as well. I recommend downloading obs and learning a bit about that software to use alongside your Elgato
