QuestionDo u put oil in the bottom with the kernels in order for it to pop? Or is this basically an air popper? I know about putting butter on the top as an option but if u don't is it popped in oil or air? Please clarify, thank you.

- Answer Hello, How to use: Place vegetable oil onto the Cooking Surface. For additional buttery flavor, add pat of butter to the top of the Cover (where the Steam Vents are located) to heat while cooking. Please feel free to email our Customer Care, if you have any further questions.
