Does this have an automatic shut off after 1 hour? null

No it does not. I unplug mine after I'm done with my coffee in the morning.

Does not shut off after 1 hour. Made a pot of coffee that perc'd for 7-8 minutes and left on for the remaining 52-53 minutes. Red light stayed on. Coffee was stronger but was not burned. 6/16/17

No, good idea. When this is left to run dry it causes the heater to get scales of metal that flake off. Not only for safety, but to keep this unit in good working order, it needs to be unplugged before it goes dry.

There's nothing noted in the manual stating this unit will automatically shut off. Because there's no notation, I would say it will not cut off automatically. I always remove the coffee pot from the base after coffee stops percolating. So I've never left it on more than an hour. I will leave it on the next time I make a pot and leave another comment. 6/16/17
