I believe the screen is HD not 4k. I honestly have no clue what the difference is. The screen must be mounted, it only comes with the materials needed to mount. I actually had someone mount the screen for me, but it only took about 1 hour. Hopefully I answered your questions Erica

Before you mount /position your projector, make sure you read up on how much zoom it has for your screen size so that you have the projector in the correct distance range. Otherwise, your projected image will be too small or will spill off the screen.
