Standard Lithium-Ion batteries degrade over time and we have designed the Ember to allow the battery to last as long as possible. While exact battery life can vary depending on an individuals use, each Ember comes with a one year warranty and if you experience any difficulty, please let us know and we’d be happy to help!

QuestionIs the copper mug steel or coated against your lips? I do not like to drink out of steel/metal and prefer a finish similar to the Gen 1. I know both the black and white Gen 2 are coated but not sure about the copper.

QuestionWhy won't anyone answer the question "is the battery replaceable?". People aren't asking how long it holds a charge they want to know how long it lasts (long term) before you have to throw the mug away IF you can't replace the battery?! Simple question.

- Answer It recharges on a stand. I don't think you can replace any batteries on anything.

QuestionHas anyone tried this with melted butter? Can you set the mug on a table and keep butter melted? (need a way to keep butter for crab outdoors without a candle blowing out)

- Answer We are happy to hear about your interest in Ember! The Ember is designed to keep beverages at a preferred temp for a period of time. With that said, we would not recommend adding food to the Ember as it was not designed for this feature. We can certainly share the feedback with our team!

QuestionIs the battery replaceable? If yes, how much does it cost? How long will the battery keep the coffee hot? Assuming that it has a temperature controller, what is the range? If the battery is dead, can the cup be microwaved?

- Answer I have had it keep my coffee hot for 1 hour at 130 degrees. Be wary though lattes will develop a skin on top die to the heat.

- Answer Looks like metal to me. Cant use it in microwave or dishwasher. Instructions seems to be in short supply. Comes set at 135, use the app on phone to adjust. Set mine to max at 145. Bottom line I love it, suits my sipping style over the morning.

- Answer It absolutely stains. I hand wash my white mug after EVERY use and it has become discolored. I’ve tried all the method to clean it and it’s stuck. Would not recommend the white mug if this matters.
