• Mine stopped very quickly. You might try wiping the element off in case something stuck to it. Unplugged of course.

• Ours only smelled the first 2-3x we used it. Does not do it anymore, and we've had it for about 2 months.

• Mine, stop smelling like this after a couple of weeks. You may want to contact the manufacturer just to make sure nothing is wrong.
