• A:Answer I use it on the table, I've never tried using on my lap. you could give it a try, but I think it might hamper the air circulation underneath.

Q: QuestionCould you connect a phone to it by a usb port and how do you have it powered or charged? It said it used batteries and that's a big no no so I'm wondering if there is another way?

• A:Answer This does not use batteries. It uses a USB cable, which connects the stand to your laptop. The stand comes with the USB cable. The stand also has 2 USB ports, one is used to power the stand while the other can be used to charge your phone/devices. I’ve attached a picture

• A:Answer No, you can’t turn off those lights without turning off the fan. However, when you lower the fan speed, it also dims the lights. The lights aren’t bright at all. Your laptop will be sitting on top of it, so you likely won’t even notice the lights. If your laptop is at least 11 inches wide, the lights will be completely covered by your laptop. I don’t even notice the lights are on when my laptop is on it, not even from the sides or the back. I’ve attached some pics, which I took in the dark. I have the fans/lights on high in both pics. One pic is with my laptop on the stand, you can’t even see the blue lights at all. You can only see the light my laptop is emitting. Other pic is what it looks like without the laptop on it. I really don’t think the lights will be a problem for you

• A:Answer Its pretty quiet when it works. USB connecting ports are really loose coming out of the box. You have to wiggle the cord to get it to work sometimes. Kind of annoying when your trying to play a game.
