“Is the RAM in this PC just one 8 GB stick that leaves the other slot open to upgrade with another 8 GB, or does this have two 4 GB sticks? Also, are there extra wires from the power supply to add an SSD?”

When you buy an SSD it'll usually come with a Sata cable that does power and everything. Also it's one 8gb stick.
