This issue was a concern to me as well. Heat was not a problem for me but when I purchased this laptop the fan was noticeably loud. Like it was an abnormal sound. I exchanged it for the same laptop and the second one was good. The fan gets a bit loud at times but not any louder than most laptops you will find today.
