Is ram upgradable? and is there 2 slots? null

Yes the Ram is upgradeable up to 16gb. The memory slots are covered with an aluminum plate so you will need to just lift it up to access the memory slots. It also includes an M.2 slot to upgrade the hard drive. I added 8gb of memory and a 525gb crucial m.2 ssd. I use the 1TB HD as extra storage space. Definitely worth the upgrade and recommend this laptop.

This Laptop has two memory slots and one is occupied with 8GB of ddr4. I verified this at the store in Menifee CA. using Task manager and selecting performance tab then memory tab in Windows 10. It shows 2 slots. The Service manual I downloaded from HP's website also states " Laptops with the 9800p fx and A12 9700p have two memory slots.

Actually, I just chatted with tech support and downloaded the manual (file# c05527166 at hp.com) which shows that there are two slots for ram with a potential for 16 GB total. The manual states that the ram is not "user accessible" and I'm not sure what that means. The manual shows you exactly how to change the ram, however.
