A:AnswerNo, each ink is specific to the printer to use. If you mix the colors you might have issues using the printer and contaminate the unit making it fail.
A:AnswerI just tried putting a 78 cartridge into my 1430 and it got stuck... so no, it is not compatible. I thought they were just the cheaper standard capacity versions (they look identical!) but apparently the 1430 only takes the 79 cartridges.
A:AnswerNo, not that I have any knowledge of...usually it will be listed on the box if it can be used with the Epson 78 ink.
The only RXs listed on the Epson 78 ink box are: RX580, 595 & 680. Hope that helps.
