Hi John, You can use the ET-4760 as a stand-alone copier. The front panel controls allow you to select various settings, like quality, color or black and white, and reduce or enlarge from 25% to 400%. Regards, Mark - The Epson team.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The printer makes copies all by itself. Turn it on, put your document in the scanner, press COPY on the Epson...it prints a copy of what's on the scanner. All your computers can be turned off and it still works. If, by "copies", you mean, can the printer "print" a copy of what you are looking at on your computer/device display or computer screen, that's not considered a "copy" and therefore, the Epson cannot print what you are looking at on a display screen unless the printer is connected to the computer/device thru usb or wifi or some other network connection. A "copy" starts as something you hold in your hand, put that in the machine, press the button, and the machine takes a picture of it and prints a copy. This Epson does that. On the other hand, if what you want to print resides in your computer or other device, that's called "printing" and that function requires a connection from your device to the printer. To get a correct answer to your question, you need to be specific about what you are asking, because "print" and "copy" are not the same thing. So, can the Epson COPY without a network connection...YES! Can the Epson PRINT without a network connection...NO!
