A:AnswerAlmost No Ink in digital printers is Totally waterproof. The 277 ink this printer uses is not the HI chromium inks used in some of the larger wide format printers. But is still instant dry smudge resistant and fade resistant. A print properly framed will last 100 years. In a box Epson states the inks are stable for 200 years. I have used the Epson Photo printers and inks for many years and have never seen any fading. But I Make sure I use acid free materials and conservation methods when framing.

A:AnswerYes, the printer is able to print directly onto a CD. I believe the CD must have a printable surface, looks white - not shiny. At least that was required a few years ago.
A:AnswerNot sure what you mean by creak? Some noise is common with these printers but not squeaking or creaking. I do know that the table the printer is on must be very solid so the printer does not sway back and forth. If the noise continues I would contact Epson.

A:AnswerAlmost all of the Epson printers are Mac compatible, on the DVD that comes with the system it states , OS X 10.6.8-10.10.X However I would contact Epson to confirm this.
It does have CD-DVD printer capabilities.
I was some what skeptical about not having photo black as one of the inks but I compared pints made with photo black on my other printer and this one and I saw no differenced once my color profile were set correctly with my monitor and computer.
