• Yes it does an excellent job plus two sided printing if needed, also the cartridges last longer and emty compared to HP printers that are an issue plus more expensive to replace. This printer is great bang for you buck. You'll love it!!!

• Yes it does have a flat bed scanner that can be used to copy and scan one sheet at a time.

• I connected the printer to my laptop using a 3.0 USB connection. Print function works great. However, the scan function will not save the scan direct to the laptop. Have to use a USB flash drive plugged into the front of the printer and the save the image to it. The USB flash drive shows up on my laptop as a drive, the scanned images are visible there. I select the file, click on the Cntrl + Shift + S keys to save the image to the folder I want.
