The default settings ask you to first choose the year, then the month (from drop down menus), then your tag. The scanner automatically creates the subdirectories and file names from you choices. The directory structure would look something like this: fastfoto/2000/December/Christmas.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The software allows you to name the batch of photos and gives a unique number to each, you can also assign a year, month or season to the batch, but I think you will need other software to tag or give a description to each photo. I use Apple's Photos application and create albums to organize them. in Photos you can give any description that you want to each photo. If you are not using the Mac OS then another application will probably do similar things. I don't use the Windows applications anymore, so I can't help with a recommendation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am planning to scan many boxes of pictures on my new scanner. I will organize them first, before I scan them, to make it easier later on. I will make folders for each occasion or all in chronological order. Yes, there should be a window in the beginning, where it ask you how to give file names for easy management. Yesterday, I scanned about 3600 pages of documents into PDF format and noticed that each file, as I programmed in the beginning gave numbering system e.g. 2016112710:30 and serial number etc in chronological order.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it does let you name the files/batches similar to a digital camera and add a meta tag but it is not a database
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes! You can name the folder and the files. Once you finish a stack, it will ask if you want to keep scanning, so you can keep adding stacks of photos to the same folder and they will be numbered sequentially.
