• I had mine back about 14 feet on a 130" screen Hope that helps

• I guess it should be twice as far as desired projection size (diagonally). Meaning if you want to project a picture size of 100 inches(diagonally) the distance between the screen & the projector should be 200 inches for a better resolution. Well, it's my personal experience & opinion, not an expert advise.
