A:AnswerThere is a pipe between the sections that mount on the celling and the piece that attaches to your projector. I would assume you could buy a pipe up to 2.5 feet to replace that and still be fairly safe. Any longer and I would think it would get unstable.
A:AnswerHey... the tube is 1-3/4" wide. Its threaded on each end to specifically screw into the ceiling mount bracket and the projector mount bracket. There is another mount that attaches onto the projector and then slip-locks into the projector mount bracket.
not sure how you could use any of your existing mount. I ended up replacing the whole thing and it worked great. Very easy to install.
A:AnswerIt's a universal mount. Four sets of mount screws to fit almost any projector mounts. I used it on Optoma UHD60... it has slide rails that allow 4 screw or 3 screw projector mounts. Very easy and sturdy.
