• Short answer is "no." You can't plug a USB flash drive into the scanner. You could plug a USB drive into a computer and tell your scanner software to automatically save the new scans there. You can scan directly to an iPad or iPhone, though.

• Yes. When you open the Epson scanning program, choose "save as" (first block on the top left) and it'll let you choose where you want to save your document when it's done scanning.
