“I have to scan a pack of documents that vary from 8 1/2 x 11 to 8 1/2 x 14 and they are mixed together in the stack. Does this copier scan the letter size as letter and legal as legal or does it all come out as letter or all as legal?”

My scanner was able to do this - scanned mix of letter size and legal size and produced them as letter and legal size. I've scanned receipts in various widths and lengths and it scans and records them in the size they were scanned.

Please try again later.For the Epson Model Workforce ES-400 Doc Scanner look under the Main Settings tab to set the Document Size to Auto Detect for all sizes and if scanning different widths make sure everything is centered within the page holders on the machine. It will detect all sizes. If you have all long pages or over 14 in., use the Auto Detect (long paper) setting. The pages need to be supported by hand going in and coming out but it will do longer pages. I have scanned a 2 foot long banner for a report I needed. This Machine is awesome for scanning multiple documents and double sided.
