• On the unit's display, go to Settings\Maintenance\Ink Cartridge(s) Replacement and follow the on screen directions. You cannot open the ink cartridge cover until it is in this mode.

• Hello Jim. You can replace Ink Cartridges on the WF-7840 by navigating into Settings > Maintenance > Ink Cartridge(s) Replacement > Start. Then lift the scanner unit until it locks into place, and open the ink cartridge cover. Please contact our Technical Support team by phone if you need additional assistance.
