Not necessarily. It depends on the type of setup you are trying to accomplish. I did a wireless set up and did not need to use a USB cord. However it is an option in the instructions booklet, if you want to go that route.

No, you do not. It is a wireless printer. As long as it is connected to the same wireless network it will find it automatically.
