- Answer Yes you can. My husband is an engineer and that's why he bought this particular printer. He says you can even scan a 12x18.

QuestionPRINTER EPSON WF 4630HELLO I WAS IN A LOCAL BEST BUY STORE AND TRY PURCHASING A NEW PRINTER. THE SALES GUY TOLD ME I HAD T PURCHASE NEW INK ALSO BECAUSE THE INK HAT CAME WITH THE PRINTER FROM FACTORY WAS ONLY DESIGN TO PRINT ABOUT 100 PAGES. MY QUESTION IS WAS HE CORRECT OR WAS HE TRYING TO UP SALE ME.

- Answer Yes, in this instance, he was correct. The printers have very little ink with them and we've always had to immediately purchase new ink. We have a business, so we couldn't afford to just print a few pages here and there. Try Epson; their ink is more affordable than HP and we've switched over to Epson. HP can sometimes have a real cheap printer purchase price but you'll pay for it in the end with expensive ink.

QuestionUnder specifications is said this was not a photo printerWanted to make sure this was not a typo. So if I put photo paper in the tray and try to print, it will not come out looking right???

- Answer The 7610, which I owned briefly, is NOT a photo printer, but it is an excellent printer otherwise. It does fall short on photos, though. It will print photos, but not exceptionally good photos. For a printer that does everything well, I suggest the Canon Pixma MX922, which I've owner for over a year and am highly satisfied with. From 4 x 6 to 8.5 X 11 photos I've never been disappointed. It prints well on matte to glossy papers, and the colors are outstanding. It's not the fastest printer, possibly a bit slower than most businesses need, but It's been fine for me.

- Answer The 7610 has one paper tray and the 7620 has two trays. Otherwise they are the same.

- Answer I do not specifically know about 12x12 card stock as I have not tried that size. I have printed cardstock using the back feeder (best results) just fine. I have also printed 13x19 61 lb. photo paper just fine (rear feeder as well). Best of luck.

- Answer Yes, up to 120 pound cardstock is compatible. Yes, this model does have a rear feed.

QuestionDoes the automatic document feeder (ADF) accept 11x17" paper? When scanning a document, does the PDF created match the exact size of the document (i.e., 8-1/2 x 11", 11 x 17", etc.), without including a 'blank' margin outside the document's edges?

- Answer Yes, the ADF accepts 11 x 17 AND 13 x 19 paper. I don't know about the PDF question.

- Answer Yes. It appears that it can print on paper up to around 12.5" x 19" (however I don't have paper that large to test it).

- Answer @barron, I bought the wf-3640 because its description listed that the ADF scans duplex. If I had looked into it more closely, I should have known better that it only applies to letter size or lower. Sigh. So if you have this and if it wouldn't be an inconvenience to you, I beg you for some assistance! I don't want to return the printer without exchanging it for something I actually want. I feel that they would find some bs to not take it back period. But thanks for the response!

- Answer Paper sizes are listed here: https://files.support.epson.com/docid/cpd3/cpd39381/index.html Note that Custom Size is available for rear slot, subject to maximum width of slot, and length not yet determined. ScaleAndTile3&4 also allow Custom paper sizes; so it should be possible to print tiled PDFs with width and length limited by physical width of the rear slot, and any length limitations built into the printer software.
