A:Answer Presuming you mean remanufactured ink ‘cartridges’ the answer is maybe. It depends on several factors. The carts for the 7720 have an ID chip. It does (among other things) these two things: 1- IDs if the cart is genuine Epson; and 2- estimates ink level. So if the remanufactured cart producer knows what to do they will replace this chip. If the 7720 IDs the chip as NON Epson, there is a menu item that allows you to proceed anyway. However, the ink level part of the chip’s duties are harder to overcome. If the chip senses the ink is out (and this does NOT depend on the actual ink level) the printer will stop. Bottom line, just drilling a hole in the cart and squirting some additional ink inside, will not in the long run work.
One other point: be sure it is the right kind of ink. All ink is not the same, it is not just the color to consider. Dye vs pigment, viscosity, transparency, dry time.... on and on. Unless you purchase from a reputable rework producer you could cause an expensive repair. At minimum get a money back warranty on the carts if you can’t get them to work. Hopes this helps.
